The earth travels counter-clockwise around the sun at the rate of 18.5 miles per second. The Earth revolves at the equator at 1,000 miles per hour also counterclockwise. As the Earth turns from west to east it makes the sun appear to move from east to west. The Earth sits on north and south Celestial poles. It takes 24 hours for the Earth to revolve once. It takes 365.2422 days for the Earth to orbit the Sun.
When the north pole is away from the Sun for six months it is winter longest night of the year while at the south pole it is summer longest day of light of the year. When the south pole is away from the Sun for six months it is winter longest night of the year while in the north pole it is summer longest day light of the year. These are called Summer and Winter Solstice.. During equinoxes day and night are equal in length all over the world. Equinoxes happen in Spring and Fall.
The Earth's tilt is called the obliquity plane of orbit, it extends outward to form a great circle in the celestial plane known as the ecliptic. Presently the Earth's axis is inclined at 23.5 degrees to the vertical. This angle is termed the obliquity of the ecliptic. This is not fixed for all time. It goes from 24.5 degrees to 22.1 degrees then back again to 24.5 degrees.
The earth must pass through twelve constellations in the zodiac. Each zodiacal constellation represents 30 degrees which is allocated along the ecliptic, 30 degrees x 12 = 360 a full circle. It takes seventy two years for the equinoctial sun to complete a precessional shift of one degree and there are 360 degrees in the full ecliptic. It takes 2,160 years for the earth to pass completely through one of the twelve zodiacal constellations, example 72 x 30 = 2160 years in each zodiac. It takes 25,920 years for the earth to pass through all twelve of the zodiacal constellations, example 2160 x 12 = 25,920 and this is called one complete precessional cycle or Great Year. We are presently leaving Pisces constellation and entering Aquarius constellation.
These cycles of precession are not limited in their consequence to a changing view of the sky. It is born from the earth's axial wobble and has direct effect on the earth like the sudden onset of the Ice Age and equally sudden catastrophic changes on earth, known as the Shift. Notable on May 5, 2000 - there is a major conjunction of five planets. This will have profound gravitational effects on earth.. Neptune, Uranus, Venus, Mercury and Mars will align with Earth on the other side of the Sun, setting up a cosmic tug of war. The Moon alone causes the Earth's tides to ebb and flow and earth quakes occur more often around a full Moon. What effect will this conjunction have? Both Edgar Cayce and Nostradamus saw this event and wrote about it and the effects that it would have on earth. They both saw a major transformation of the planet and saw the death of great multitudes of humanity. Many of their visions have come true, should we wonder about this prophecy??
The Ancients kept track of precessional equinoxes with a passion. Were they leaving us some message?? In every culture around the world contain strange myths, but they are all similar. They all speak of the great flood which occurred when the polar ice caps over North America and Europe melted in a mere two thousand years, when they took over forty thousand to form.
What is not known is the eccentricity of the orbit of the Earth as it is more or less elongated. The axial precession which causes the four cardinal points -north, south, east, west - on the Earth's orbit and the two equinoxes and two solstices to creep backwards very, very slowly around the orbital path dramatically changing the earth's climatic zones. Were the ancient people trying to warn us of great danger? It seems that the universal language of mathematics has left us a calling card.
The sea level has changed drastically in times past. Miles above the present sea level all over the world are scattered millions of fossilized sea shells. Below the sea level are dwellings from times forgotten. Let us look at the Great Pyramids. The Great Pyramid stands 500 feet high, it is a mathematical model of the northern hemisphere of the earth on a scale of 1:43,200. Was the northern hemisphere an ice sheet when the pyramid was built? The ancients have left us with proof of their spherical geometry and astro-navigation on ancient Sumerian tablets, they describe each planet of our solar system perfectly and only when present day Man sent a craft in to space was this information reaffirmed. We do not possess the technology today that some unknown civilization had in the past, the Great Pyramid stands as part of the proof. Many structures around the world have left certain intellectual treasures that are truly mysterious. Reference to human experiences prior to the invention of writing around 5000 years ago have been omitted in their entirety and myth has become a synonym for delusion. I believe that certain mysterious structures scattered around the world were built to preserve and transmit the knowledge of an advanced civilization of remote antiquity which was destroyed by a terrifying upheaval.
I believe that with today's technology we should look at the remains of antiquity with new eyes for much was left for us to discover and uncover.
In the Puranic version of the universal flood story, shortly before the deluge a fish God Vishnu warned his humans. Likewise in Mesopotamia the Noah figure Utnapishtim was warned by Ea. They were all instructed to secret away their most important documents for future generations. It appears we are to be warned that the recurrent and near-total destructions of mankind and beast are part and parcel of life on this planet, that such destructiveness has occurred many times before and that they will certainly occur again. I think the ancients may have tried to find many ways to tell us all exactly when and why the global destruction is going to strike again. I think it only wise of us to devote more resources to studying the signs and messages that have come down from the past in what we call prehistory. The Hopi Indians like their ancestors the Aztecs of Mexico say the present World's fate depends on us and our relationship with our Mother Earth. For the Earth our Mother is sick, we have poisoned her with chemicals, we have taken her breath away by deforestation, we put ourselves above all others and have not shared this planet with all life forms. Each one of us can make a difference in our own little neighbourhood. No deed is too small. The need is too great. We must learn to live in harmony with nature all her creatures. We must look at our deeds and make sure that they are earth-friendly. The Earth is the work of a great spirit, a creative and intelligent spirit. Everything was designed and woven into the web of life for a reason. Nothing happened by accident. The Earth is a moving and living planet and is in constant transformation. If we are survive upon this planet we have much work to do. Let us learn from our mistakes before it is too late and let us learn to read the fingerprints of vanished civilizations.
