Comments and remarks:Are there any dirt dog competitions in the Phoenix area? Our little guy, Spencer, is a terrier of mixed parentage. He LOVES digging and hiding and getting as dirty as possible. Gracie, our Border Collie, likes to do agility but NOT mucking about in dirty holes. On our website there is a product called Agrisept. This is GREAT for worming dogs, killing ear mites, and it serves as a antibiotic, antiseptic and sterilizes water dishes and kennels. Calorad Advanced can be used (dosage is by weight of dogs) to build muscle and repair damage to joints and bones. |

Comments and remarks:I just adore this breed, they are so intellgent. My one Star is A UKC male, and taps me when he wants food or when he wants to go bye bye, and when he wants to sit on my shoulders. I also have Liam he's a real sweety he cuddles and is 16 pds and always has a smile going. Bella is like a race car she gets low to the grown and zips around like mad. Cleo is older and still is hyper and loves to bark at other dogs and is so pretty. This is the best breed I've ever had. I even went trail riding with my one jack he sat on my saddle we had fun. Enjoy your Jacks. |

When I went to buy him the breeder told me he was already house broken, and sure enough he was. If you're interested let me know, and I also have pictures of him. |
Comments and remarks:I was just wanting to speak my mind and say that i think someone needs to be out there figuring out how to prevent all these viruses from attacking all these dogs that lurk in the ground. yes i know that they do have shots for these dog but there not 100% positive that there goin to work.I just lost my 4 month old dalmation to parvo saturday july 24th and it was very hard for me so im here to say even tho the vacinations arent completly positive please take care of your dog and have them vacinated. There are to many people out in this world that just pick up dogs an claim them but dont take care of them and we the people that do care have to suffer cause some one else perfers to just to let there god roam free with out there shots so please take this message into consideration and treat your dog as if i was your child thanx for listenin to me an u have a good rest of the day |
Comments and remarks:Good site! I have a rescued, at 10 mos., JRT mix, and he surley is teaching me alot about the breed and himself ,as well as the healing process from what he went through physical abuse wise. He has done such terrific growth in such a short amount of time, i am so amazed at the total turn around in (w/o traditional dog training methods) him. He was QUITE a handful in the beginning,in many ways, i can only attest that through gift of energy healing that i am lucky to have, applied to him, he is such a different, less hostile animal, and so better behaved. He is quite a miracle dog for sure, to see where he was then and now, it is amazing! |
Comments and remarks:it's a good site |
Comments and remarks:I rescue small breed dogs and have several JR's that need new homes.. All are vetted and Spayed/Neutered. Vic loves playing with his Basket ball and so do the others.. I worry about them being in rescue too long, as they are young and need to be active. They are full of energy and need some help finding homes that will actually keep them around and get them into activies to expend their energies.. Anyone interested please check them out online on Petfinder.com |

Comments and remarks:MY ABBY BELL IS A DIRT DOG,SHE IS THE LOVE OF MY LIFE. |
Comments and remarks:Found this site by accident. Was diagnosed with advanced ovarian cancer 3 years ago and soon after my adopted lab and my adopted rottie died. I have been out of work, tired, and blue. But then, 2 months ago I stumbled upon a part JR/part lab mix and my life changed totally. This 30 pound year old pointy-teethed doll is better than all the Stand-Up comedy I could get. She is fast, smart, brings me her toys to squeeze and throw after chemo when I'm exhausted. She soars off the deck and does circles in the air and if she bumps her head she just keeps going. Leah is feisty and strong, jumps up to body-slam huge dogs, and she usually will even let me hug and kiss her until she realizes she's being too calm. |
Comments and remarks:Premium dog site you have here, best I have seen! It is dog food for thought, ha ha, Life;s abundance to you! |

Comments and remarks:JRTS make great snacks for my pet rottweiler. They just cant seem to get enough. I think they taste great too...just like chicken! |
Comments and remarks:We love our Jak, he is the best dog we have ever owned. We have spent a fortune on toys but all he likes are lids to pop and milk bottles. We have had him almost 2 years and he is the master of his house and loves dogs that are bigger than him. We would like to breed him. He has papered parents, but we have not papered him. If interested, send me an e-mail. |
Comments and remarks:Your site is very Interesting, ive added it to my favorites. |
Comments and remarks:MacGyver thinks he is the ruler of the roost, he loves to zoom circles around animals and people. He is quite the little darling, also some times he is a little fart, but he is cool. |
Comments and remarks:Of all the friends you'll ever make your JRT will be the best. I've had mine for a year and don't know what I would do without him. He does rule the roost but if you have a JRT you know there's no other way. He's my only child and a good judge in the boyfriend department, if they can handle him it just won't work! |
Comments and remarks:I have had our JRT for 6 months. Thor was given to my daughter as shewas passing through Lincoln,NE. He is 6 yrs. old. Comments and remarks:We are the proud new parents of Mon-T, he is 4mths old. I found the website in a book called JRT for Dummies. Great book for new owners. The first day I had him I went to PetSmart to buy him toys, etc. Who would know that his favorite would be a plastic water bottle!! He plays with it for hours, now if I could just get him to leave the cat alone. Missy, my cat is not adjusting to well. Any words of advise? |

They are spoiled rotten. Angus loves to wrestle and rough house with Daddy and Otis loves to chase tennis balls and play frisbee. They love to go for rides and walks. They hate birds, rabbits, squirrels, flies, cats--basically anything that's not human or another dog!!! I couldn't imagine life without my boys. They are so much fun. Jack Russells rule! |

Comments and remarks:i have a one year old jack russell terrier..hes turning 2 soon. all i have to say is that he is the most wild dog i've ever seen!! he's too much so we might give him away and get another dog. i mean i have the patience but hes too wild and the only thing is that if u leave ur front door open he will run away..thats the only thing that bothers me!!!! but hes too wild..too wild to train i think. |
Comments and remarks:Just put the deposit down on our first JRT....he is only 4 weeks old and adorable. Will let you know how he fairs. Haven't even come up with a name for him yet. The breeders call him Herculese since he was the first to do everything...walk, bark, eat...can't wait to enjoy the experience. |
Comments and remarks:I just found your site and it's wonderful. My own little Dixie is past her first due date and is laying here waiting to burst. It's great to hear about other Jacks. |
Comments and remarks:I think Jack Russells are great. we have one that is two years old. And he thinks he is as big and as tough as our rotweiler/black lab mix. who is his playmate, that stands at 5ft something and weighs 105pds.To cuddles 16pds. To watch them together is funny our rot/lab has alot of patience to put up with our Russell. |
Comments and remarks:I have a litle miniature chocolate and tan shorthaired dachshund, i would like to enter her into agility. could anyone tell me the closest agility around here? and could someone give me some advice about agility and tell me where i could take her to training classes! Comments and remarks:I liked the title these guys are little dirty dogs and i just love their spirit. I have a little hobby-farm north of Gulfport and am enjoying getting to know other people through the on line. This is all so brand new to me. Happy is 6. Jolly my only stud is 5. Merry is almost 4 and just had a litter in March which I still have a pup to place. Cheery is 2. What else would you like to know about my dogs? |
Comments and remarks:nice site. I was introduced to jack russells when my 10yr old daughter asked for one for her b-day. Jack has been a great dog! He is acrobatic, funny and can run, run, run. Now i want to know more about the breed. Also Jack shares some ancestors to your dog Kallie---Foxfield Flex and Maven's |
Comments and remarks:I think anyone who has a Jack Russell is a very special person because it take only the best and most patient type of person to love and live with a Jack. I have three Jacks and they keep me busy all the time. I have two in flyball and one doing agility and one starting agility. It is really great to see a web site that is not all about how great the Border collie is. I think a dog (no matter what kind) is what YOU make it and how smart the dog will be. Like people there are good and bad ones but what you do with them is what matters. Love this web site! keep up the good work! |
Comments and remarks:JRTs ARE GREAT!! JUST LOVE THEM! |
Comments and remarks:This is a great site.......Jack Russells are the best dogs. |
Comments and remarks:A great site, that I enjoyed especially because of Your support for the lure-coursing use of the smaller dogs. I myself do own Salukis, Azawakhs and Whippet (a half-terrier) but we also had one Yorkie, that coursed the bunny like a fireflash. Disapointing he was killed by two German shepards at the age of four. As the chairman of a Coursing club in Berlin/Germany I am pleased to have small terriers and some other no-sighthound breeds participating our training outings. Many greetings from Insulaner Windhundfreunde Berlin e.V., Yours "Dr. Hare" |
Comments and remarks:Message to all jack Russells, we kick your hairy small short ass any day of the week!!! |

Comments and remarks:Hi, I would like to breed my Jack Russel. He will be a year old in April. I don't know if I should buy my own female or should look for someone elses to breed to. Comments and remarks:This guesbook is a great idea! I got my 2 JRTs 8 months ago and they are just darlings! I miss them everyday when I am at work. They brightened up my life and I enjoy their company so much. However, I have a problem which I hope fellow JRT lovers can help. How do I stop my JRTs from eating their faeces? I know it sounds awkful but it has happened and is still happening. Also, they like to bite things, even the bed I got them. Nothing ever lasts with them around. So how can I stop them from biting everything? I heard that JRTs have sensitive skin and is prone to allergies....is this true? My Jacks keep scratching and it's not due to fleas nor ticks. I hope someone can help me with my queries. |
Comments and remarks:I got my JRT at a small pet store at 3 months and had quite the time at first. She was so much more work than I ever would have suspected. Within the first 2 months I was already finding different ways of finding a new home for her due to my workload and her need for attention. But then through a lot of support from other dog owners and others I've learned to deal with her ways by keeping a step ahead of her and finding new ways of dealing with unwanted behaviour and also learning how to relieve my stress and anger really helped. When I realized that the problem was not her but me, things really began to look up. Now she is truly the love of my life. I don't know what I did before I got her. She is now 9 months and sometimes she makes me laugh and sometimes she makes me want to cry. I raised her with a friends 2 larger dogs and she also plays with a husky next door, so she has learned to play without being so aggressive. Even on walks, she has no problem walking over to another strange dog and wanting to be it's friend too. Still I am careful with whom she meets and socializes with just incase. She had also gotten away from me a number of times and almost died a number of times, even though I was practically on top of her, so be careful JRT owners!! However, those of you out there having the same problems with your JRT as I had, the usual problems you always read or hear about, hang in there because they can be the greatest part of your family if you just have patience. |
Comments and remarks:Can you help? Lucy is six months old. Came from breeder who has kept Jack Russells for years. We noticed when she was a puppy that she had what looked like 'bare' patches of skin on her tongue. The vet said it looked like it would clear up. It seems as though it has grown with her. Also she has now developed a problem with her back leg. We think she has pulled a muscle and walks on three legs after she has been resting. Within minutes she seems OK again. We are trying to rest her as much as possible! When she wants to play with the other dogs or play catch - you wouldn't know that she has a problem. She is so loveable. You might say why don't you take her to the vet - my son took his dog who ran into something and hurt her leg. The vet said she had to have complete rest and gave her a pain killing injection. My son thought that didn't help at all - because the dog thought she was better and it was harder to rest her. Does anyone know of a herbal ointment for sprains? Many thanks. |

Comments and remarks:Tiekka was a gift from my husband because I had expressed an interest in JRT's for some time. She is the best gift I have ever received!! She is so sociable, the perfect companion for me. She takes hikes with us and even when she was very young she always kept up, even out hiked us! Her favorite thing is to crawl in bed with us in the mornings and burrow under the covers. We are thinking about breeding her and will register her soon as she is nearly a year old. I have been looking at the JRTCA web site for info. and found your site too. I'm happy to see there is something fairly close to Montana. I hope to be able to attend a function some time in the near future. |
Comments and remarks:We love our Mitch. He has brought so much joy to our lives. It took me one year to talk my boyfriend into getting a dog. Then another 6 months researching which breed. Mitch is a true JRT, there is never a dull moment at our home. We are contemplating on getting a female now. Just not sure!!!! Any advice would be greatly appreciated. |
Comments and remarks:Actually I found your site listed in a magazine on doxie's. My mini doxie NEEDS to do earthdog trials, and my standard would LOVE to do it.
